Student Government is alive and thriving at Santa Clara Elementary School (SCES)! Sixteen Student Council officers are elected each year by the student body in Grades 3-7, and they run events ranging from Spirit Days to Intramural Sports. Student Council officers meets with their Faculty Moderator, in order to plan special events and prepare for morning school assemblies.
In addition, each class has two elected Senators, who represent their class at the monthly Class Senator Meetings. The SCES Student Council members coordinate and staff SCES activities and events, assemblies and functions. Student Council also promotes and coordinates “fun” raisers such as: Skate Night, Movie Night, Carnival, Talent Show and Spirit Days.
Our SCES Student Council also promotes national and liturgical events such as, Red Ribbon Week; and leading a decade of the Rosary each morning during October (the designated "Month of the Rosary"). In addition, Student Council leads daily assemblies for the school community, and supports our numerous school teams through pep rallies.
The SCES Student Council's overall goal is to help build school spirit and support, while enabling students to grow through servant leadership and stewardship. Go Saints!
